Medal of Honor Warfighter multiplayer beta coming in October, Xbox 360 exclusive
Simon Williams September 21, 2012 - 1:15 pmNews: EA have announced that there will be an open multiplayer beta for upcoming military FPS Medal of Honor Warfighter for a limited time in early October, and that it will be exclusively available on Xbox 360.
While many a gag has been made at the expense of its subtitle, we can finally see how Medal of Honor Warfighter stands up as an actual video game next month, with the announcement from EA of a multiplayer beta. Or at least you can check it out on Xbox Live – because it will be 360 exclusive.
The beta will feature the excitingly titled new mode HotSpot, which involves players attacking and defending various randomly selected zones on a multiplayer map entitled Sarajevo Stadium. The beta will utilise Warfighter’s Fireteam co-op system for player matching, which all sounds very gruff, masculine and hoo-hah.
The beta will be out for only a limited time, but will be open to all on Xbox Live – or at least Gold members. The predecessor in the Medal of Honor series also had a multiplayer beta back in 2010, though this time round Danger Close themselves will be handling multiplayer duties and not Battlefield devs DICE. What’s more, if the beta tops three million downloads, EA will kindly unlock the exclusive Castle of Glass music video by Linkin Park early as a reward. Stretching the definition of “reward” in my view, but there you go.
Medal of Honor Ridiculous Subtitle will hit stores no doubt with a loud bang of some kind on October 23rd.
