EA Showcase has brought us a video featuring Medal of Honor’s executive producer, Greg Goodrich. The interview gives us an in depth, behind the scenes look into the upcoming title in the venerable fps shooter series.
The next Medal of Honor game will be eschewing the traditional WWII setting in favor of the more recent conflicts in Afghanistan.
The short video explains some of the logic behind the decision to change the game’s setting while also detailing how the development teams went about creating a realistic portrayal of such a recent war. You also get a few glimpses into the gameplay and just enough narrative progression to get you in the mood to play the game yourself.
You will have the opportunity to get your hands on Medal of Honor when it releases for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 on October 15, 2010.
