Mech-shooter Hawken has been revealed to be a free-to-play title by a recent job listing.

The visually impressive mech FPS Hawken has been on our radar for the better part of a year now, though so far details have been scarce. We now know that the main platform is to be PC and that developer, Adhesive, are planning for a free-to-play pricing model.
A recent job listing on Gamasutra revealed the details of pricing model and primary release platform. The position Adhesive is looking to fill is the role of a marketing manager who would be “responsible for the marketing of forth-coming FTP FPS Mech Video game”. It goes on to say that the focus is “core PC gamers”. This isn’t a denial of plans for a future console release, only where they are preparing for now.
I’m getting increasingly excited for Hawken. I mean, yes, it looks great, but the mechs seem to have proper heft to them, I can’t say till actually getting my hands on the game, but it looks like it conveys the sense that you’re tramping about in a 30 ton battle robot.
