Mass Effect 3 trailer talks up voice over work

The latest BioWare Pulse video takes us behind the scenes to show how the vocal talent is recorded for Mass Effect 3.

Ever wondered how the voice performances of Jennifer Hale, Mark Meer et al are recorded for the Mass Effect series? Perhaps how the multi-branched tree of dialogue options and player choices are scripted? Well, it turns out BioWare is now prepared to divulge all the answers in their latest developer diary.

The latest BioWare Pulse feature introduces VO director, Caroline Livingstone, and audio lead, Rob Blake, who take us through both processes and explain some of the technology which allows them to record such a complicated web of dialogue.

Previous BioWare Pulse videos have shown off a number of Shepard’s new moves in the trilogy’s final instalment, which is released in March.
