Marvel Vs Capcom 2 recently hit Xbox Live Arcade and was received greatly, while PlayStation owners still wait to re-live one of the most epic battles of all time. However it seems that the PlayStation Network won’t be the only place PlayStation owners will be able to get a hold of Ryu and finally face off against Wolverine.

Although news of a retail version of the title isn’t really new news, as rumours have been circling about it since June. An image posted by a Capcom-Unity moderator shows what appears to be the actual game with the new artwork that the XBLA version sported.

When the title surfaced back in June it was posted as pre-order by Gamestop for £19.99. However soon after, the title was taken down and hasn’t been heard of since, till now. It’s interesting to note that when the game first surfaced the release date was penned as the 19th of August.

A date that then became the release date for the PSN version, however along with the news that the retail release will only include a download code and not a disc it seems that this rumour could turn out to be official before long.

Make sure to stay tuned to BeefJack for any more news on the legendary Marvel Vs Capcom 2.
