Super Mario Bros., SMB2, SMB3, SM World, SM 64, SM Sunshine and SM Galaxy; These aren’t games that the average gamer looks at and thinks: “Yeah. I’ll play through these in one sitting to 100% completion, you know, casually.” Well, the average gamers running Mario Marathon 2 are not only doing this, they’re doing it for a cause. All the money will go to Child’s Play, in the interest of giving videogames to children’s hospitals.

The point of completion, to which they will play these games, is based on how much money they receive, and now that they’ve topped $20,000, they’ll be playing through SM Galaxy to 100%.

Given $4,000 more, they’ll go back to SM Sunshine, and collect everything they missed on the first run. This only leaves SM Galaxy (as Luigi), for which they’ve requested $49,152 to beat and $98,304 to complete.

It’s always great to see gaming for a cause. BeefJack sends out their support. Brian “Shirt Guy” Brinegar, John “Couch Guy” Groth, and Chris “Slouch Guy” Deckard, we thank you.
