2K’s Alex Cox has said that the main story-line in the single player campaign of Mafia II will boast fifteen hours of gameplay.
I’d say the critical path is about 15 hours, maybe a bit longer. It’s a nice length, big enough to feel epic without overstaying its welcome.
With issues such as game-length, it is all about balance, which is why 2K seem to be taking great care in creating a title which will give fans enough to get them excited without pushing them over the edge and making the franchise feel stale. A good move.
Couple this with 2K’s intention to make this open-world crime-fest a game which will make GTA IV look ‘dated’ we could be in for a thrilling ride into the criminal underworld!
