If you’ve ever wanted an excuse to learn Latin while playing a video game, ROM hacker Abw is your best friend.
Mr. Abw has taken it upon himself to translate classic games into the original classical language itself, and has recently completed a project to translate the original Final Fantasy.
Previously Abw translated Zelda and Zelda II, and is working now on a complete translation of Final Fantasy VI. He said this translation was “fun break” for him.
Abw is quick to point out that the translation for FF is not complete, as certain menu screens and world map areas have not been changed. He does however say that all of the game’s dialogue itself has been converted.
