There’s no denying StarCraft’s popularity in Korea, but perhaps marketing execs are getting a little carried away with their newest promotional campaign for StarCraft 2. In a rather literal interpretation of the game’s subtitle, Wings of Liberty, Blizzard Entertainment Korea has announced a partnership with Korean Air to put two airplanes featuring StarCraft art in the skies. Take a look.
The first of the two planes launches today and the second will be taking off early next month. Both will charter flights locally and internationally, flying from Korea to both the US and Europe, over the next six months. If you’ve been putting off that trip to Korea, here’s your chance to vacation with panache.
In addition to the planes, Korean Air will be operating four limousine buses wrapped with StarCraft 2 character design during the promotional period so travelers can continue to display their unwavering fanaticism after touching down.
Have your cameras ready; there’s no telling when one of these planes will be Terran up the skies near you.
