Kojima Productions hiring for “next” Metal Gear Solid

News: Konami’s website has revealed that Kojima Productions will be recruiting in force at the upcoming Game Developers Conference 2012 for the “next” Metal Gear Solid title – and also unveiled possible concept art for the game.

It appears all pretence has been dropped – a new Metal Gear Solid game is on the way, and Kojima Productions are hiring on a massive scale to work on it and other upcoming projects.

The KojiPro page on the official Konami site has been updated to reveal that “Big Boss wants YOU! The “next” MGS”. Clicking through to the English version, details are given for Kojima Productions booth at the upcoming GDC 2012 and the fact that they have a lot of vacant positions they want to fill.

Of most notable interest is the fact that they are looking for “Project engineers for the latest Metal Gear Solid targeted for high-end consoles and PC” and “Engineers to help develop next-gen game engine technology for use with the FOX Engine.” The roles available are extensive, as you can see on the job listings page.

Hidden away in the top right corner of the page – well, actually not hidden at all, as it’s marked by the above “Classified” envelope and a button screaming “Do not click here” – is the following concept art of Big Boss and accompanying hound: a teaser for the next MGS game?

Hideo Kojima himself has been occupied with his new title Project Ogre, but has admitted previously that he is always likely to return to helm another game in the series that made him a development superstar.
