Killzone 3 multiplayer goes (sort of) free-to-play

News: Sony has announced that Killzone 3′s multiplayer component will be available to download for free, although it will include some restrictions.

During the latest episode of the PlayStation Blogcast, Sony has revealed that Killzone 3‘s multiplayer will be released on PSN as a free download from next week.

The package isn’t entirely complete though. You’ll get every map, but your level will be capped, and only a limited number of weapons and skills will be available.

If you find yourself enjoying the free offering, you can pay $14.99 to unlock the full version.

It’ll be up for download on the 28th February on the US store, with a European release expected the day after.
