Is this the face of the new Assassin’s Creed?
Julian Benson March 1, 2012 - 10:51 amNews: An image has emerged that suggests the next Assassin’s Creed game will take place in colonial America.

Hmm. That’s my opinion of the image that’s been posted on the Interweb, showing what is purported to be an American colonial era Ezio-style assassin, teasing the setting of Assassin’s Creed 3.
To me it looks like fan art. But then who can doubt the veracity of “a Best Buy worker”.
Is this a tease at the announcement that was announced would be announced today?
There have been numerous rumours of the location of the third Assassin’s Creed game, Paris, London, the Moon. All have had their supporters and detractors (London would have been yay). One of the front runners was an American Revolution set stab em up which the above picture would certainly seem to suggest. Just something about it seems off. Hmm, indeed.

Well, we’ll surely hear me in the forthcoming weeks and months and when we do be sure to read it here.

Could be genuine I guess, or maybe that’s wishful thinking on my part because I’d really like to see a Colonial period game.
I’m intrigued, especially as the lore has already established that the Founding Fathers are Templars. It’ll be a brave game if the signing of Independence is seen as a failure of the main character.
