I Am Alive PC version announcement, release date
Lewis Denby August 23, 2012 - 3:59 pmNews: I Am Alive, Ubisoft’s previously console-only survival game, will be coming to PC this September, the company has confirmed.

“I Am Alive!” cries the I Am Alive PC version. That is to say, there is going to be one. Ubisoft have confirmed that they’re bringing their previously Xbox 360- and PS3-only survival game to the good old personal computer next month. The release date? September 13th.
A lot of people weren’t that keen on I Am Alive, but our own Ashton Raze loved the living daylights out of it, awarding it 9/10 in his review (based on our now-defunct numerical scoring system, of course).
So, good news for everyone. Including all those “bitching” PC players that the game’s creative director talked about a while ago.
Yes, back in November, Ubisoft’s Stanislas Mettra said there would not be a PC version of the game because of piracy concerns – and he didn’t show much sympathy to those PC players who were itching to play it.
“We’ve heard loud and clear that PC gamers are bitching about there being no version for them,” he said, dropping a thousand jaws of PC gamers in the process. “But are these people just making noise just because there’s no version, or because it’s a game they actually want to play? Would they buy it if we made it?”
He added: “If only 50,000 people buy the game then it’s not worth it.” I guess they reckon more than 50,000 people will play it. Whatevs.

Before I can answer that, I have a question for Ubisoft: “Will the people who buy it be able to actually play it when they do? Or will they need to install a crack to get around broken DRM again?”
