Hotline Miami proved popular among BeefJackers, with myself and Robbie Palmer naming it our game of the year for 2012, which says slightly worrying things about us and our propensity to engage with digital violence.
According to a blog post by Devolver Digital, Dutch developer Abstraction Games will be handling the port, teasing us earlier in a tweet asking “Notice anything different in this Hotline Miami screen shot?” (see above). The screenshot in question quite clearly suggesting some kind of console port, with it’s “Press start to continue”.
For now though, there’s a new trailer to celebrate the port featuring blood, murder, creepy people talking about violence and the still-wonderful soundtrack. Check it out below and by goodness, buy this game on whichever platform you have available, because it’s marvelous.
