Halo Will Expand “in many different directions”

Jason Pace, the man with possibly the longest title in the gaming industry, has revealed some interesting information about the future of Halo.

The ‘Halo Wars lead producer and Halo franchise overseer’ recently told Eurogamer that the franchise will “expand in many different directions” as well as saying that some of these directions “may not be game-related at all”.

The series has developed into a franchise in recent years after starting life as a release title on the original Xbox. It has since grown exponentially with graphic novels and action figures now available.

Pace could not comment about the on-going saga of the Halo movie that was confirmed and then postponed.

The Halo series is set to explore new territories this year with the release of Halo Wars and Halo 3: ODST. Each game takes the series in a new direction: ODST is the first title not to include Master Chief and Halo Wars will use the RTS genre to further the diversity of the series.
