Yesterday’s patch release for GTA IV’s PC version brought new problems for some users, such as a stuck key/input issue that leaves your head spinning. For real. Rockstar’s suggested a fix.
GTAForums are alive with complaints of unresolved bugs, even new ones, so if you’re seeing the same kinds of things, you’re probably not alone. However, the look/spin issue is the only one Rockstar’s commenting on so far. Here’s the word from Rockstar Games.
With the latest Title Update, some users are experiencing a Look/Spin/Stuck Key issue that interferes with user input. The temporary fix, described below, will restore Keyboard/Mouse and XInput (360) controller functionality. Support for DirectInput devices is currently limited. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.
To fix the issue:
A1) Unplug any DirectInput controllers (gamepads, joysticks etc..)
A2) Reboot your computer
A3) Launch GTA IVIf the issue persists, the following instructions are provided as a guide to assist you in deleting the conflicting DirectInput drivers:
B1) Exit game
B2) Go to Start->Control Panel->System->Hardware Tab->Device Manager->Human Interface Devices
B3) Locate drivers for devices
B4) Delete drivers for devices
B5) Launch GTA IV**Some users are able to reinstall the drivers for their DirectInput devices, with the device attached, and have found that it will work in game. If you do attempt to reinstall your device and the problem resurfaces, please follow steps B1-B5 again.

Great so now your supposed to delete a driver everytime you have been playing a game that needs joystick.. WHAT A GREAT “FIX” ROCKSTAR..
Thank god it happened at my friends house and not to me, i didnt buy the game myself yet.. and i wont, untill i can fly a chopper with joystick instead of a keyboard.

Calm down Homer, Rockstar are currently working on this bug along with many other bugs that have been found. Expect patch two sometime over the christmas fortnight or the week after the new year.

i used to like ur games sooo much.. but after wastin soo much money on this shit….i mean seriously y on earth wud u asses make a good game and not fix the bugs….i am facing a big problem…when i start the game it plays well but after a minute or two the whole screen starts to wobble and start shaking..it gives me a head ache//!!!!!y release it when problems like this one are prevailing!!

i have the fix for it all you really need is some tools that i created email me if you would like a link to download it but keep the original programs of what you have to over written and don’t blame me if it still doesn’t work and i don’t take any responsibility of what you use it for or what may happen doesn’t have no Trojans or malware its 100% legit it fixes drunken cam/no control over car/crash/graphics problems but it may not fix graphics if you haven’t updated you graphics card.
and its works fine on my pc all high resolution and everything high no problems whats so ever tested over 16 different computers.
PS: and to play the game you must have the minimum requirement to play it better if you have higher than the minimum and also this fixes will not let you play online only offline that’s y i told you guys to save any file that you are going to replace

and PS: if your wondering why it wont let you play online its cause you need to change some files from the original it means you have mess with the game files >=[ so no online if you wish to use my files only offline but you can save and all ^_^ so Cherish and have fun if you with to use my junk i bought the game and it works fine but my friend doesn’t so that y i made these programs and they work like a charm

what the F**K!!! first i encountered the rmt 40 shit and the stupi social club that has to be installed and the secuROM sh*t! this has been the most confusing and frustrating game to install in all of the games i bought! then finally after 2 days i finally fixed and installed it, and what do i get? a freaking wobbly screen and driving cars or should i say steering cars coz it accelerates(with handbrakes on i think) automatically when i get on one.. damn.. god damn.. you rockstar asswhipes better fix this bug quick, and i mean fix like release a patch. not a delete a driver huha… its way too unnecessary, imagine deleting a driver just to play the game? this is just way too F**ked up.. FIX IT GOD DAMN ROCKSTAR !!

Its like when u get far in a game then suddenly some thing annoying happens, and u try to fix it. BOOM doesent work, then suddenly u need someone to blame and automatticly u blame the author. Are all of you noobs or are you just jews or sth? GTA IV is pretty much perfect if you play it on a REAL PC and if you play the RETAIL version. At least try and find the Razor crack, and stop being stupid aside of being noobs. If you have a crappy PC and a crappier crack, then go eat all the crap you can but don’t say nonsense.

hi every one … i downloaded patch 1 and now the game is not running.
then i have to install patch 2 to fix that problem … and when i install patch 2 the camera spin and accelarator pproblem still exist …
if i go with the temporary solution … i will have to play without a mouse … because i’m using a mouse as human iterface device
help me out plsssssss

gentlemen i read all commints here from so many peoples but does’nt find any solution to smooth run of gta4.
as iam also fan of rockstar games i also receive jerk from rockstar games first time in the shape of gta4.
i tried to fix problems just like video shaking car auto accelerate and also try official patches releases by rockstar but nothing works please any body find any solution then please also inform me

OMG… I love this game to death… My only problem is the drunken screen, and I can only control my car halfway… My car accelerates on its own, and I cant stop it or reverse it… Whats going on with that… Can anyone help me out with this problem??? Please???

GTA has always been a hit the new gta 4 looks really exciting but this shit with the drunken screen and the car that controls itself is a load of kak! Iv tried patches everything nothing works! Rockstar what are you guys doing we all waited for a new legend gta to be released and thank you for entertaining us, but you guys released a game full of buggs and shit. So now we your customes are dissapointed because how the hell ARE we to PLAY the GAME if it’s got so many BUGS!!! WTF why release it then?

hello guy’s i am from india i am facing a great problems like screen shaking ,uncontrolled accelaration of vechiles & some texture problems also , damn it ! these problems have driven me nuts, every day i read comments / solutions of thousands of asses pretending to be smartest since Einstein took his last breath. Come on rockstar! u people were not like that. give some fixes & show them what u guys have got in your assess.

yea i got the same problem with the drunken screen. (my bro fixed it before and i beat the whole game but i want to play it again after i got windows 7) my pc is really good btw and i downloaded the game on 12-25-09 so i kno it probly gots some patches fixed
