God of War: Ascension multiplayer beta begins this week

Morning barbarians, I bring good news. PlayStation Plus members will be granted access to the God of War: Ascension multiplayer beta starting today in the US. Plus subscribers in Blighty (and the rest of Europe) may have to wait until Wednesday before they can start eviscerating chaps over the internet, giving the Americans an unsportsmanlike head-start.
The beta includes access to Ascension’s 4×4 Capture the Flag mode, and I’ll be mightily disappointed if the flag isn’t the head of an enemy positioned at the end of a long pole.
God of War: Ascension marks Santa Monica Studio’s first foray into into the multiplayer arena with a God of War title. The full game launches March 12th.
