Grasshopper Manufacture CEO Suda 51 has confirmed, via Twitter, that Lollipop Chainsaw will be release worldwide, courtesy of Warner Bros.
The delightfully named Lollipop Chainsaw will be the next release for the Japanese studio, previously known for titles such as Killer 7 and No More Heroes. More recently, they were part of the team behind Shadows of the Damned – which reviewed well, but was a bit of a commercial flop.
Their games have a reputation for being ambitious, creative and just a little bit mad.
“Our global publishing partner for Lollipop Chainsaw is Warner Brothers Games. Stay tuned for more info!” wrote Suda on Twitter today.
Lollipop Chainsaw focuses on Juliet Sterling, a cheerleader fighting zombies in a fictional Californian high school. It’s thought to be an action-adventure title, though not a great deal is known at this time.
