Ghost Recon: Future Soldier video details cover and animation

In the first of the ‘Inside Recon’ video series, Ubisoft detail the cover system and animations in Ghost Recon: Future Soldier.

Two weeks ago, we got the first singleplayer trailer for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. Looks like plenty more footage will be made available in the foreseeable time, as Ubisoft have started the Inside Recon video series, which detail various aspects of the upcoming third-person shooter.

The first one focuses on that very third-person aspect and shows off the game’s cover and animation systems. “We use over 2.500 animations on the main character alone and all motion capture was shot with former Navy Seal operatives,” so says the video’s narrator. Give it a gander below.

“Once your targets are identified, you peek out, take your shot, and snap back to safety”. Good job, you’ve just described every cover system ever.
