Unarmed. Alone. Trapped. Our first full-length Hitman: Absolution gameplay video sees 47 even the odds any way he can.
After doing the rounds on the expo circuit, the long-awaited Hitman: Absolution gameplay video has arrived in full, 17 minutes of everyone’s favourite assassin running rings around Chicago’s finest in ‘Run For Your Life’. Sneaking, garroting and occasionally employing various elements of the scenery to get ahead (pun intended), it’s a relief to see that IO Interactive‘s pet project actually looks like it can hold up to withering fan criticism.
The action moves fluidly, the art direction is suitably dark and moody, and the ‘Instinct’ system is nowhere near the God Mode so desperately whined of, providing insight into situations without necessarily spoiling them – it’s an advantage, but nowhere near as comprehensive as the map from previous outings.
Take a look for yourself, make up your own mind:
Due to ship on PC, 360 and PS3, Hitman: Absolution is due sometime ‘around 2012′.
