Free Portal 2 DLC coming October 4th

The first download content for Valve’s Portal 2 is being made available October 4th and it’s free.

Titled Peer Review, the first lot of DLC for Portal 2 will be free on all platforms on its launch next week. While it may not be what various Valve fans are foaming at the teeth for the developer and publisher to get their arses in gear over, the fact that the DLC is free across all platforms is commendable when you consider it in the light that DLC for the Left 4 Dead games have cost Xbox users, but not PC and Mac users.

Portal 2: Peer Review sees you continue the story of P-Body and Atlas, taking on new co-operative puzzles and of course dealing with GLaDOS. Valve have also mentioned that the DLC will include leaderboards paired with single player and co-op challenge modes for the new puzzles.

If you’ve missed it previously, a short Portal inspired film – Portal: No Escape – was doing the rounds over the summer. Also, Songs to Test By, Volume 3 has also just been released.
