First Borderlands 2 DLC will invoke Return of the Jedi, says Pitchford

The first post-release DLC for Borderlands 2 may take players sand-surfing, Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford has told attendees at the Gearbox Software Community Day. Polygon reports that Pitchford suggested the DLC release – one of a planned four – was partly inspired by Star Wars: Return of the Jedi’s desert transports:
“I’ve always wanted to ride a sail barge and drive a sand skiff. I’ve always wanted to do that, and we’ve got some cool stuff that’s along those lines.”
But why stop at vehicles, Gearbox? Wrap up some of Borderlands 2′s psycho midgets in a rug and boom – instant Ewoks.
