First batch of War of the Roses content hits the battlefield Wednesday
Sean Cargle November 20, 2012 - 12:06 amNews: On Wednesday the first War of the Roses content arrives and it will be followed by monthly releases of new content. This first batch will include new armor, weapons and a new game mode.

War of the Roses released in October to a generally positive reception, BeefJack’s James Pickard recommended it in his review, and fans of the series were happy to hear that the shortly after the release Paradox Interactive announced that the game sold so well that they are going to turn it into a franchise, or at the very least they would continually support the game with new content for a good while. Wednesday will be the first release of new content for War of the Roses and it will bring new armor, new weapons and the new Pitched Battle mode.
In the Pitched Battle mode players will have to be a lot more careful about how they fight since they will now only have one life. It is basically a round based last stand type of mode that will give players only one life per round. It is rather basic, but it should be a welcome change for those who don’t like team death match or capture and hold. One interesting thing about Pitched Battle is how players will suddenly be a lot more concerned about bleeding and reviving their team mates.
There is no news of what will be in the next content update, but hopefully Fatshark will continually release size-able updates that consist of more than just a few pieces of armor. On Wednesday at 6 pm GMT/10 am PST they will be doing a live stream of the new mode on their Twitch.tv page. For more on War of the Roses head on over to their website.
