Previously pencilled in for a Winter 2011 release, Final Fantasy XIII-2 will now be out in Europe in early 2012.

Whether you’re excited for it or not, a sequel to Final Fantasy XIII is on the way and as development furthers the release date is getting narrowed down for all regions. Europe is the latest territory to have the release window rescheduled, with Final Fantasy XIII-2 now set for early 2012.
VG247 spotted the new date in the latest Square Enix release schedule, which also reconfirms the previous announcement that the game will be available in the US in January 2012.
