Final Fantasy 25th Anniversary Ultimate Box details and trailer
James Haresign September 21, 2012 - 3:46 pmNews: Square Enix have announced the Final Fantasy 25th Anniversary Ultimate Box and it contains a whole lot of Final Fantasy.
Final Fantasy is 25 years old and Square Enix are celebrating by releasing a massive box set of the series. Unsurprisingly it’s most of the major releases but if you really want to enjoy the Final Fantasy 25th Anniversary Ultimate Box you better have some old consoles lying around. The games included are:
- Final Fantasy (PS1)
- Final Fantasy II (PS1)
- Final Fantasy III (PSP)
- Final Fantasy IV (PS1)
- Final Fantasy V (PS1)
- Final Fantasy VI (PS1)
- Final Fantasy VII International (PS1)
- Final Fantasy VIII (PS1)
- Final Fantasy IX (PS1)
- Final Fantasy X (PS2)
- Final Fantasy XI Vana’diel Collection (PS2)
- Final Fantasy XII (PS2)
- Final Fantasy XIII (PS3)
So it’s all of the numbered releases and none of the spin-offs, not even the ‘-2′s Square Enix have got so fond of. Not that you can really complain with thirteen games in one boxset. That’s not all you’re getting either. There’s also a 25th anniversary video, two disc soundtrack collection, ‘Crystal Artworks’ package and a mini replica of the Final Fantasy 25th Annivesary stand by Yoshitaka Amano. Oh and a code for some ”Mogu Mogu” earrings in Final Fantasy XIV.
Now the bad news, it’s only available through the Square Enix online store and currently only in Japan. No word yet on if it will be available anywhere else but BeefJack will let you know if there’s any news.
