Fable III Divides The Critics

The Fable III review embargo lifted early this morning – and the reviews, across the board, are a little more mixed than one might expect.
Our own Luke Stratford’s been playing the game over the last few days. He absolutely adored it, calling it a “game of the year contender” and, indeed, branding it with the highest score we’ve awarded thus far in 2010.
Other outlets have fallen similarly in love. NowGamer have awarded a 9.2 out of 10 score, and CVG have run with exactly the same mark.
And TheSixthAxis ran with a perfect 10 out of 10 score.
Others, though, have been distinctly less impressed – as you might guess from a franchise as divisive as Fable.
Giant Bomb awarded the game 3 stars out of 5, Cheat Code Central arrived at a still-fairly-decent 3.7 out of 5 conclusion, and Destructoid hit home hard with a not-good-at-all 5.5 out of 10.
Perhaps Fable’s simply always destined to split opinion.

You really should really warn people before linking to stuff written by Jim Sterling.
haha
Oh Jim, you hate everything.
Jim is one very hard man to please!
Anyway by the looks of things I would say that Luke Stratford’s review was quite good.
