An extended cut of the live action trailer that heralds the Reapers’ arrival in Mass Effect 3 has been made available.
As Mass Effect 3 begins, Commander Shepard is still faced with the Alliance’s disbelief towards the Reapers. But what if they are a myth? What if Shepard’s mind was corrupted by the encounter with the Prothean beacon and he’s been hallucinating ever since? Hah, not really, the Reapers are totally real and coming to kill everything. Still, what a twist that would be.
Over on the BioWare blog, a new series of posts has been kicked off in anticipation of Mass Effect 3′s impending release. They are from the fictional Alliance News Network and feature in-universe reports on government affairs. The first one shows that the Alliance may be reconsidering its stance on the Reaper myth. They initially wrote off the huge dreadnought that attacked the Citadel at the end of Mass Effect as a geth construct.
