Tim Schafer, in a recent interview with European gaming website, Eurogamer, dropped a few tidbits of information on his big upcoming game, Brutal Legend; like how instead of using traditional pre-rendered CG, all but five percent of the game is going to be in-engine, and, in Tim’s own words, “Eddie upgrades his axe, guitar, and car you can see it change in the scenes, you know?”.
He also gives details on the radio, where “we let you pick which songs are playing and which songs you skip, and you can shuffle and sort the songs by genre, and you unlock new songs as you play”. Sounds like something out of a Burnout or a Skate game.
Also mentioned is that the game is in it’s final stages, and that they are “trying to kill all these bugs, plus we are testing it with players and tweaking things like difficulty and awesomeness”.
Much more is mentioned in the interview itself, including why there won’t be a PC version, and a few more details on the “double team” system.
