Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a thing, may include custom quest creation
Andrew Hallam July 30, 2012 - 11:47 amNews: In a recent interview with OPM Hideaki Itsuno teases the first little details about Dragon’s Dogma 2, effectively confirming a sequel and giving us a few hints as to what might be included.
New IPs are possibly one of the riskiest but most interesting parts of gaming but none more so than new RPG titles. For Hideaki Itsuno’s Dragon’s Dogma it’s first outing into the world saw rave reviews and high sales figures with the title reaching it’s one millionth sale just not long ago. Now, in an interview with Japanese games magazine Famitsu, Hideaki teases the first details of the sequel.
According to Itsuno only 60-70% of his ideas for the original Dragon’s Dogma made it into the final game, leaving plenty spare for Dragon’s Dogma 2. Not only that but he was only able to show about a 1/3 of the overall world he’d created.
What was more interesting however was the mention of a quest creation mode. While there’s no specific details on that just yet we can only speculate that it’ll be awesome if it’s anything like it sounds, possibly allowing an unlimited amount of quests to be undertaken. Mix that in with a system similar to the pawn sharing system and you’ll have a whole wealth of free player-made DLC to keep you happy for many moons to come!
Well keep you in the loop of any new Dragon’s Dogma 2 info as it comes in here at BeefJack.
