A funny thing happens to those of us who follow video games when the calendar hits January. We find ourselves swamped with new games to play, and bursting with anticipation at the hyped titles for the upcoming year. As such, we are occupied in letting our mouth’s water for Mass Effect 2, Final Fantasy XIII (Those of us outside of Japan) and other major future releases. In this blissful state of euphoria we tend to miss out on the potential gems that are coming out right before our eyes.
Divinity II: Ego Draconis is a perfect example of one of those gems. The game has a polished look, and it is clear that a great deal of passion and polish went into its production. Is it a good game? I don’t know. But it did release today amidst the hubbub of Christmas titles and lists of top anticipated games for the upcoming year. If you are a fan of Western RPGs, this is one game that you may not want to miss.
Divinity II: Ego Draconis is currently available in North America for the Xbox 360 and PC. The action RPG features a variety of innovations, including a classless skill tree that gives users endless options for customization without any of the limitations of class.
