Codemasters have released the first trailer showing off DiRT: Showdown’s gameplay.

Codemasters have been gradually ramping up the arcade in their rally since they dropped the name Colin Mcrae from the title. But, Showdown looks to be the largest step into the crash bang and whallop of racing in the series so far.
According to the game’s site, it will feature “SPEED, STYLE AND DESTRUCTION,” and” NO HOLDS BARRED RACING EVENTS,” with a few “ BONE CRUNCHING DEMOLITION DERBY EVENTS, and something called “EDGE OF CONTROL HOONIGAN EVENTS.”
Here’s a video showing off said no holds barred crunching of bone hoonigans.
Well, it all looks very fast doesn’t it. I particularly liked the bit when the car did that jump. I imagine I’ll be telling the lads about that bit for a week.
DiRT: Showdown will be *sigh* smashing its way into stores this May. To keep up to date with EYE WRENCHING NEWS click here.
