Diablo 3 beta patch incoming

Blizzard will be updating the Diablo 3 beta today with patch 13, it will include a character wipe.

Blizzard will be implementing Diablo 3′s beta patch 13 later today. Though what it will update is still largely unknown.

Blizzard’s community manager Stephanie Johnson broke the news that “a character wipe will be included”, and “as with previous character wipes, this wipe will also affect gold, achievements, items, followers, and artisans.”

Players will also lose their Beta Bucks.

But, despite keeping quiet on what the patch will bring till after it goes live, there’s a good chance that it will include Public chat channels. We suspect this following a post from community manager Micah Whiple (Yes, another one) “Public chat channels will be in Diablo III, barring any catastrophe that requires we remove them, because they’re already implemented. In fact they’ll be in an upcoming beta patch so you’ll get to see and play around with them yourselves.”

Clearly, chat wouldn’t require a character wipe so there’ll be other things in there. We already know a good deal of change is taking place to loot-em-up so the patch could bring substantial alteration.
