Deadly Premonition Has a UK Release Date

Emily King September 17, 2010 - 11:41 am

The game that our very own Matthew Lee dubbed “unrelentingly bizarre” has now got an official UK release date for its Xbox 360 only launch. Previously, Rising Star Games had hinted that the survival horror would be out sometime in the autumn this year for its EU release. Now Rising Star Games have officially announced that the game will see its UK launch on October 29th, with an RRP of £24.99.  The game has been available in the US since February.

It’s doubtful that one game has had such mixed reviews this year. It’s been marked all over the place, but Matt gave it a solid 8.1 when he reviewed a Korean PS3 import of the Japanese version in August. While he admits the game has its faults, they are overcome by a level of storytelling rarely seen in survival horror games, and as Matt said:

“It’s the equivalent of the quirky B-movie you rent on a whim, hoping for nothing more than a laugh, but then you find yourself on the edge of your seat from start to finish and afterwards it sticks with you for days or more.”

So remember: October 29th.
