Deadly Premonition fails to appear on Xbox Live
Lewis Denby July 5, 2011 - 8:40 amUPDATE: Deadly Premonition is now available on Xbox Live Games on Demand, albeit a little late. Original story below.

Deadly Premonition was a remarkable game – weird, warped, often very funny and often very disturbing, it combined a bunch of genres to create one of the strangest yet most compelling games in recent memory.
So the news that it would be hitting Xbox Live Games on Demand in Europe today was good! It would mean that those who were unable to pick up a boxed copy of the game (because such things are quite rare on the high street) would be able to grab it quickly and easily.
Except, it doesn’t appear to be there.
It’s listed among the newest additions to the service, but the game itself isn’t there – just extras such as texture packs and a trailer.
In a blog post, creator Swery65 said: “Starting today, the game will be made available by Rising Star Games, the publisher of the European version.”
He added: “A lot of fans have been telling me on Twitter that the game cannot be bought in stores, or that it is otherwise hard to obtain… but it can now be bought directly online.
“To all of you who haven’t played it yet, and to the praiseworthy DP fans who’ve already played the game but want to buy it once more, please go online and buy it now!”
Unfortunately, the link he provides brings up the New Releases page on Games on Demand, and there’s no option to download Deadly Premonition – even though there’s a link to the game’s page there.
We’ve contacted Swery and will keep you posted.
