Deadly Premonition director hints at sequel, prequel and director’s cut
Luke Stratford August 24, 2011 - 7:46 pmPrequel, sequel, there’s definitely legs to the Deadly Premonition IP, according to Hidetaka Suehiro.

Cult survival horror hit Deadly Premonition was a strange creature, but ultimately one that found acclaim from critics and fans alike. Now, director Hidetaka Suehiro (aka: ‘Swery’), has broached the subject of where to take the IP from here. In an interview with Metro, Swery explained that amongst current projects, including a completely new title, plans for a sequel and prequel are already on the drawing board:
‘…I’m working on different types of Deadly Premonition-related projects. Trying to think of ways to create a sequel, that’s definitely on the table, trying to create a prequel is also definitely on the table; and also a project to have more people play Deadly Premonition.’
When pressed on that latter statement, he elaborated:
‘…for example – and this is just an example – we might create a version that is like a director’s cut with a higher quality of graphics so that it would appeal to a wider audience.’
