Dead Space 3 details
Mark Ankucic September 27, 2011 - 9:06 amDead Space 3 was all but confirmed on an Israeli news show (The Headlines) in EA’s Redwood Studios, California. We now have details as to what players will be seeing in the future title.
According to Siliconera, Isaac Clarke will be returning – but he won’t be in familiar territory. The setting for Dead Space 3 is on Tau Volantis, a planet of ice and snow.
After crash-landing on Tau, Isaac finds a near-abandoned waystation, its only inhabitant a severely injured civilian who informs Isaac that other survivors have travelled to another waystation – one of those survivors being Elle from the original Dead Space.
Uniting with Elle and with a new character named Jennifer, the trio start to ascend a mountain, despite Jennifer’s reluctance. A howl from below from an unseen source tells the trio they are far from alone.
The enemy in Dead Space is referred to as the ‘Hive Mind’, so hopefully we can expect some kind of terrifying anti-human creatures that work in unison, without any individual feeling or goal. Terror is knowing that there is something out to get you, and not knowing how it thinks or what it wants.
Dead Space 3 already has me hooked.
