THQ has announced the Darksiders II release date, and it’ll be hitting UK stores on the 29th of June along with some retailer-exclusive pre-order bonuses.
THQ announced at the end of last year that Darksiders II would be coming summer 2012, and now they’ve given us an exact release date. It’ll be hitting the UK and Europe on the 29th of June and, as is becoming increasingly common practice, there’ll be various exclusive pre-order bonuses available.
Pre-ordering from Amazon gets you the ‘Deadly Despair’ pack which gives your horse a permanent speed boost. If GAME or Gamestation is your retailer of choice, you’ll get the ‘Death Rides’ pack, which sounds so much better than a faster horse. It contains around 2 hours of additional content, offering new side-quests and loot.
There will also be an ‘Angel of Death’ pack that’ll separate you from the crowd with some sexy new scythes and armour with an angel-inspired design. There isn’t a retailer currently attached to this pack, but I’m sure there will be soon enough. If not, maybe THQ will give it to everyone free of charge. Yeah, keep dreaming.
