Dante’s Inferno 2 in the works?

Does a Visceral Games writer’s resume hint at a sequel to Dante’s Inferno?

The blog of Joshua Rubin, found by Superannuation, identifies him as “sole writer for a Major Unannounced Sequel” from Visceral Games and “creating a major new unannounced IP for a AAA game company.”

I can hear you all now. “That could mean anything!” Well yes it could, but then there’s a link to the Superbowl advert for the first game, which sort of sidesteps his attempts at not giving the game away.

This isn’t the first rumour of a Dante’s Inferno sequel either.  Visceral posted a job advert in June of last year for an environment artist to work on “the sequel to a major new IP.” A second advert popped up a few months later looking to recruit for a “sequel to a major new IP at the award-winning Visceral Games, creators of Dead Space and Dante’s Inferno”.

Then again, Dead Space 3 has seen a lot more hints and producer Jonathan Knight told The Escapist shortly after Dante’s Inferno came out “I’ve read the entire divine comedy and I’ve given it some thought, but there are no plans.”
