Criterion Working On New SSX?

Rumours are started to gain credence that the developers of speed obsessed wreck-a-thon Burnout Paradise are to resurrect the snowboarding franchise.
The company apparenlty hinted on twitter that it was working on a new SSX game, and a character from SSX was mentioned during the radio chatter in Burnout Paradise is reporting fresh snow on Peak 3. It could just be a hoax and bit of fun respectively, but gamers are dying to know.
Criterion are apparently working a new Need For Speed game for EA, so they obviously hold some say with the publisher. Criterion and EA have yet to comment on the rumour.
