City of Heroes is getting its first major expansion, Death Incarnate, since going free-to-play.
NCSoft and Paragon Studios have announced a major update to City of Heroes, Issue 22: Death Incarnate. The Dark Astoria area of the game is getting a make-over and with its new look its getting upped to a level 50 Incarnate co-op zone. The sorceress Diabolique “plots to become an avatar of death by seizing the powers of the banished god, Mot” so heroes and villains will need to team up to stop her.
For lower level characters there is the “Drowning in Blood New Low-Level Trial” allowing groups of eight to fight off a Shivan invasion and two more missions.
That’s not all, a new set of powers is being introduced, Darkness which allow you to summon shadows to fight for you. Also tweaks to existing will be present, and a new costume. For the full details check this out.
