City Builder Arrives for the Wii

Virtual Play Games’ most recent project, City Builder, hit stores in North America earlier today. The game tasks users to solve a variety of city planning and building puzzles while trying to out maneuver the likes of Big Foot, Mole Man and Aliens.

In the game, users are given a grid based city, and specific goals that they must accomplish for that plot. These gridded tracts of land are interconnected over multiple continents. Between these city building puzzles and mini-games that use the Wii’s motion sensing capabilities, City Builder provides users with over twenty hours of gameplay.

Virginie Grange, Business Development at Virtual Play Games, described the game thusly:

City Builder is a fun game that blends the excitement of puzzle solving with strategy inspired gameplay of city construction games to create an open-ended puzzler where anything can happen.

Darrell Benvenuto, General Manager at Collision Studios (The game’s development studio), gave his take on the game as well:

We’ve brought our unique spin on the genre by adding wacky characters and environments with compelling puzzles to entertain kids and challenge parents alike.

City Builder is currently available in North America for the Wii at the suggested retail price of $29.99. The game is also available on the PC.
