Bungie: Destiny will be a ‘sandbox’ game, Red Dead Redemption dev working on it
Paul Yan October 5, 2012 - 5:00 amNews: Bungie revealed that their sci-fi shooter Destiny will be open-ended and that an ex-Rockstar Games and Red Dead Redemption developer is helping to create the still-unannounced game.

Bungie have shed a tiny bit more light on Destiny, the company’s next, mysterious “sci-fantasy, action shooter games” that will be released sometime next year.
Over on Bungie.net, the game’s developer revealed that Destiny will be an open-world game that will be made with the help of Danny Bulla, a former Rockstar Games and Red Dead Redemption developer who’s now Bungie’s gameplay designer.
“We liked Red Dead Redemption so much that we hired Danny Bulla to come here and help us fill your next sandbox,” Bungie wrote in response to a user question regarding Bungie’s opinion of Rockstar. “He’s doing some amazing work and, so far, he hasn’t tried to lash any of us to a pair of railroad tracks.”
Bungie also mentioned that the game will be set in a “noisy place,” whatever that means.
