Blizzard have announced that they will not host their annual BlizzCon event this year in light of a ‘jam-packed schedule’.

Blizzard’s annual BlizzCon event will not take place this year, the company has quietly announced.
BlizzCon – a celebration of all things Blizzard, from World of Warcraft to Diablo - makes headlines every year thanks to its range of tournaments, events and announcements. But 2012 will not play host to the show.
Writing in a post about the 2012 Battle.net World Championships, a Blizzard representative also spoke of how determined the company is to release Diablo III and StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm as soon as possible. “In light of our jam-packed schedule,” the post continued, “we’ve decided to hold the next BlizzCon in 2013.”
2011′s BlizzCon made headlines for the wrong reasons. The company’s CEO, Mike Morhaime, was forced to apologise after a video from metal band Cannibal Corpse, shown in edited form during a presentation at the event, was found to contain several homophobic remarks in its original version.
