Bizarre Creations Up For The Chop

Bizarre Creations, the studio behind Blur and the recently released Bloodstone, is now rumoured to be going into ‘statutory redundancy’, according to Giant Bomb.
With Blur reportedly failing to find a market within the racing genre, after a heavy financial investment, and Bloodstone failing to garner anything more than a lukewarm reception, Activision is now considering the sale of the business, explaining:
Bizarre is a very talented team of developers; however, because of the broader economic factors impacting the market, we are exploring our options regarding the future of the studio, including a potential sale of the business.
With 90 days before Bizarre Creations is closed, sold or dissolved entirely, the window is still open for a purchase of the studio to avert the mass-layoffs that this would entail. However, with the industry such as it is, it may be too much to hope.
