You Helped Medal of Honor Be Less Bad

Posted August 24, 2010 by Kevin Pabst in News.

Sometimes, it feels fruitless to complain about things on forums, and it usually is. In the case of the Medal of Honor beta though, DICE has tweaked and twisted tons of things.

A huge list of changes was posted by community manager for EA Matthew Pruitt, seen partially below with only the essential details.

  • Improved Hit Detection: We really tightened up the mechanics and essentially, wherever the bullet hits on the body — that is where the hit registers.
  • Weapon Pickups: Out of ammo? No longer do you need to find an ammo crate. Find the nearest dead enemy/friendly and pick up their weapon.
  • Support Actions Balanced: The support actions were tweaked and are now more difficult to achieve.
  • Unlock Tree Expanded and Balanced: The unlock tree has been expanded for every weapon, providing an extensive series of choices.
  • Crash Fixes:  The good news is that we have fixed the crashes and resolved a number of connectivity issues.
  • Major Graphic Overhaul: The graphics have been overhauled and upgraded.
  • Weapons: From zoom spread to damage inflicted, rest assured that every weapon has been modified.

It’s great that the beta had such a positive impact. Lets see if EA can launch it without it being totally broken at launch.
