Battlefield 3 singleplayer is “Important” says EA
Robbie Palmer November 1, 2011 - 11:07 amEA rule out a multiplayer-only release of Battlefield 3, praises its singleplayer.
EA’s executive Frank Gibeau has defended Battlefield 3’s singleplayer campaign, which as our review notes felt linear and rushed, but thankfully delivered some decent set-pieces.
Speaking at an investor call, Gibeau ruled out a multiplayer-only release, saying, ”The single play experience is important. It’s a great way to get fans into the experience, have them train up and get ready for multiplayer. And a lot of fans just enjoy having that single player experience. So I think you have to have both.”
He added, “It’s a way for new players to get exposed to a franchise”.
