DICE have revealed that a fix for the longstanding voice chat issues in the PS3 version of Battlefield 3 will be issued in a patch next week.
Struggling to chat to your team mates when playing Battlefield 3 on the PS3? Well a solution is finally on the way, as DICE have announced that a patch specifically targeting the VOIP issues on Sony’s console is coming on February 6th.
Over at the new snazzy official Battlefield 3 blog, the developer revealed that the VOIP fix will be a mandatory update of approximately 20MB, and the game will automatically notify you when it becomes available.
The blog entry did not though that some Voice Chat issues are actually down to incorrect setup for certain headsets, in particular citing the SLEH-00075 Bluetooth headset as needing to be firtsly connected via USB to be recognised, and once connected requiring the HQ mode to be enabled in the following location: Settings > Manage Bluetooth Devices > Press Triangle on the headset > Information > High Quality Mode.
