The nominees for the BAFTA Video Game Awards have been revealed, with L.A. Noire and Batman: Arkham City leading the way with eight nods each.
Dara O’Briain returns once again to host this year’s BAFTA Video Game Awards, where L.A. Noire, Batman: Arkham City, FIFA 2012, Portal 2, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword will compete for title of Best Game.
Both L.A. Noire and Arkham City have received nominations in seven other categories, including Artistic Achievement and Design. Aaron Stanton and Mark Hamill have also been nominated for their performances as troubled cop, Cole Phelps and The Joker, respectively.
Elsewhere, Uncharted 3 and LittleBigPlanet 2 have garnered six nominations, followed by Portal 2 and Skyrim with five, and Deus Ex: Human Revolution with four, which somehow fits into both the Action and Strategy categories. Dark Souls is in there too, which is bound to make a few people extremely happy.
You can read the full list of nominations below and discuss who are your favourites until the winners are revealed at the London Hilton on Friday March 16th.
