How interesting! Here’s something I didn’t expect to find: the Left 4 Dead University.
It’s basically training classes to help you improve at Left 4 Dead. Actual, proper lessons, purchasable with real money, to help you get better at Valve’s online FPS. For £15 per hour, the site says, you’ll be trained by players who compete in the European Electronic Sports League.
“We are two very competent games players who’ve been playing Left 4 Dead since it was released in November 2008,” reads the site. “Between us we have over 25 year’s [sic] worth of online gaming experience in both competitive and sociable gaming environments.”
The site also offers training for Counter-Strike and Team Fortress 2, and the lessons are tailored to suit all abilities. “We’ve structured our training sessions for players at all skill levels from first time players to experienced clan players,” says the website.
It’s an interesting concept, and while £15 per hour might sound like a hefty sum for someone to tell you how’s best to play a game, there’ll doubtless be people who take their Left 4 Dead very seriously, and who might be interested in this. PC-only for now, though. Sorry, Xboxers.
Talking of Left 4 Dead (yeah, I’m great at segues), we’re giving away five copies of The Sacrifice DLC for L4D2. Have a read to find out how to enter.

What, no use of ’2′ in the headline? For shame, Denby. For shame.
