Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs – Debut trailer shows in-game footage
Lewis Denby June 14, 2012 - 10:55 pmVideo: Frictional Games and thechineseroom have released the first Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs trailer, showing off in-game footage from the follow-up to indie horror hit Amnesia: The Dark Descent.
The music, incidentally, is from Jessica Curry, who also scored thechineseroom’s last game, Dear Esther. Rather a different style, right? But this is looking just about frightening enough that I’ll probably chicken out about two hours in. SADFACE.
So, some things are interesting, particularly the use of outdoor areas – I’m not sure we’ve seen Frictional’s proprietary engine used for anything other than the gloomy indoors before. Not that these outdoors aren’t very gloomy too. The whole tone is suitably terrifying.
I like the new logo, too.
We reviewed Amnesia: The Dark Descent at a lovely 8.3 out of 10, incidentally. Reviewer Anthony Charles called it “a gem of a survival horror game,” and I’d agree.
Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs – which you can read a bit more about here - is due out this Autumn.
